Round the Boro is the passion project of Frances Lee (Frankie) O’Neal of Winnsboro. Known for her gifted talent of storytelling, Frankie has been telling stories since she was 12 years old. She learned hunting stories from her father and Bible stories from her mother. She would listen and “steal” stories from her parents and others in her community. The South Carolina Arts Commission recognized her as a traditional artist in 2012. She has participated in the Telling Our Tales Festival, Tell it on the Hill, and numerous Tellabration events. In addition, she was an educator for over 42 years.
